PROLIM is currently seeking an experienced Industrial Painter for one of our top clients in Goose Creek, SC. In this role, you’ll apply protective and decorative coatings including paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, and stain to parts, assemblies, and finished products using spray guns, brushes, or rollers. Work is typically performed in heavy industrial or shipyard environments such as Newport News Shipbuilding. If you have a minimum of 5 years of industrial spray painting experience and the required safety certifications, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
- Apply protective and decorative coatings (paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, stain) to parts, assemblies, and finished products.
- Select and mix coating materials according to specifications.
- Ensure proper coverage and finish using spray guns, brushes, or rollers.
- Perform quality inspections in accordance with process control standards.
- Work safely in confined spaces, elevated areas, and environments with temperature and humidity extremes.
- Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators daily.
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA requirements.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5 years of industrial spray painting/coating experience.
- Experience in shipyard, marine, manufacturing, or heavy industrial settings preferred.
- Proficient with airless and conventional spray systems, surface preparation, and coating thickness standards.
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical or vocational training in industrial painting or coatings preferred.
Certifications and Requirements
- OSHA training in Confined Space, Hazard Communication, Respiratory Protection, Fall Protection, and PPE.
- Respirator qualified (MSA COMFO CLASSIC) with medical clearance and fit testing.
- Trained in use of body harness, lifelines, beam clamps, and fall arrest systems.
- Audiometric (hearing) testing and Hexavalent Chromium medical clearance.
Work Conditions
- Physically demanding work in confined spaces and elevated areas.
- Work environments with temperature and humidity extremes.
- Daily respirator use and full PPE required.
