Key Responsibilities
As a Laundry Aide, your primary duties will involve all aspects of laundry services for the facility. This includes:
- Collecting, sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and personal laundry for clients, patients, residents, and staff.
- Operating and maintaining laundry equipment according to safety and procedural guidelines.
- Ensuring a clean and organized laundry work area.
- Following all infection control and safety protocols.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Experience:
- Minimum Grade 10 education is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- A valid driver’s license may be required depending on the specific site needs.
Additional Requirements:
- This position is part of the CUPE union.
- Candidates must be flexible to work a variety of shifts.

- Hours of Work: 8-hour shifts, with shifts available on Days, Nights, Evenings, Weekends, and Stats.
- Availability: Must be available Sunday through Saturday.
- Salary: Pay Band 5, ranging from $18.890 to $20.240 per hour (3-step range).
