We are seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to join our team for regional routes. This role involves operating automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products across multiple locations. About the Opportunity
This is a dynamic role for someone who enjoys being on the road and interacting with customers. You’ll be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods, assembling and setting up merchandise when needed, and maintaining accurate records. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products.
- Provide professional customer service at all times.
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch.
- Assemble, install, and set up merchandise/products as required.
- Keep accurate records of items received and delivered.
- Prepare, package, and restock goods.
- Sort packages for delivery efficiently.
- Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered.
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of vehicle safety.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of experience in delivery driving or a related field.
- Valid Class 5-5F-G Licence (cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles).
- Clean criminal record check.
- Ability to handle weights up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Flexibility for early morning, evening, weekend, and on-call shifts.
- Own cellular phone for communication.
- Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, and judgment.
- Organized, reliable, dependable, and punctual.
- Willing to relocate for this position if needed.
