About the Role
This is a hands-on role that gets you out and about across the Kingscliff area and nearby suburbs. You’ll be responsible for supporting the upkeep and presentation of our holiday properties, ensuring every space meets our high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine property inspections to identify maintenance needs.
- Perform general maintenance and minor repairs, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Coordinate with external trades when required.
- Ensure properties meet safety and quality standards.
- Assist with furniture assembly, appliance installations, and minor refurbishments.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance records.
- Conduct quality checks of holiday apartments after cleaning.
- Complete room reports, identifying maintenance, cleaning, or presentation issues.
- Assist with small tasks like restocking amenities, adjusting styling items, or light touch-ups.
- Drive between properties across Kingscliff and nearby suburbs (travel is essential).
- Report damages, missing items, and findings to the office department.
- Provide recommendations to ensure rooms are kept to a high standard.
About You
We’re looking for someone with previous maintenance experience who takes pride in their work and can work independently.
Essential Qualities:
- Previous experience in property maintenance, handyman work, or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for high presentation standards.
- Punctual, reliable, and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must have a valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle.
- Flexible availability, including occasional weekends if required.
Compensation
- Hourly Rate: $26.70 – $35.15 per hour
