We’re looking for a reliable Onsite Facilities Maintenance – Handyperson to join our team and help keep our residence running smoothly day to day. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you’ll take care of general maintenance, minor repairs, and upkeep across the site to a high standard.

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a hands-on role with various tasks to action day-to-day. Your day might look like:
- Performing general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, patching, and fixing fittings.
- Responding to maintenance requests from residents and staff promptly and professionally.
- Carrying out routine checks and preventative maintenance to keep everything in top condition.
- Reporting larger or specialised issues to the Maintenance Manager or contractors.
- Setting up or moving furniture and equipment when needed.
- Helping keep common areas clean, safe, and presentable.
- Keeping simple records of jobs completed and issues identified.
Health and Safety Awareness
We need you to be aware of good WHS practices across everything you do. This includes:
- Working safely at all times and following WHS requirements.
- Using tools and PPE correctly.
- Reporting hazards, incidents, or safety issues promptly.
What You Need to Have
- 3+ years’ experience in general maintenance, facilities, or handyman work.
- Practical skills across a range of basic trades.
- Comfortable with physical work, including lifting, moving, and manual tasks.
- Reliable, organised, and able to manage multiple jobs.
- Friendly and respectful when dealing with residents and staff.
- Good problem-solving skills and common sense.
- Safety-focused and takes pride in quality work.
- Experience in residential property, apartments, student accommodation, or Build-to-Rent is a big plus
