The Opportunity
This permanent full-time position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM). As our Maintenance Officer at The Views, you’ll be responsible for routine building and grounds maintenance, ensuring residents enjoy a safe, attractive, and homelike environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining a safe and attractive living environment to suit the needs of residents.
- Identifying and prioritising resident needs to create a more homelike environment.
- Assisting in the selection of tradespeople to undertake specific tasks.
- Maintaining a planned preventative program and ensuring documentation requirements are met.
- Attending to the maintenance of buildings, grounds, and utilities in line with the schedule.
About You
We’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in learning new skills, being outdoors, and working hands-on—someone who will enjoy chatting with residents and contributing to their quality of life.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a trade, domestic repair, or general handyman roles.
- Experience with electronic maintenance management systems.
- Ability to identify standards as they relate to building maintenance.
- A genuine interest in learning new skills and working outdoors.
- A commitment to continuous improvement that enhances resident lives.
- Certificate or experience in a relevant trade.
What We Offer
- Permanent full-time position: Monday to Friday
- Hourly rate: $34.86-hour + superannuation
- Not-for-profit salary packaging: Up to $18k per annum
