We’re now looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Christchurch construction team as a Grader Operator-Foreman in the Canterbury Region.
About the Role
In this dual role, you’ll be responsible for leading a pavement crew while operating specialist machinery related to civil and roading works. You’ll help deliver work for our customers safely, on time, and to the highest quality standard. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with outstanding leadership skills who enjoys being hands-on with machinery and guiding a team to success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a pavement crew to ensure effective delivery of pavement construction projects across the Canterbury region.
- Operate the grader with skill and precision on a variety of civil and roading projects.
- Interpret plans and specifications to deliver exceptional results.
- Complete machinery checks as and when required.
- Monitor plant maintenance, keeping timely and well-organized records.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Extensive experience operating graders in the civil construction industry.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the civil construction industry or similar.
- Class 2 Licence (Class 4 advantageous).
- WTR Endorsements.
- Proficient with Trimble machine control.
- Outstanding leadership skills, with proven experience supervising and leading crews.
- Flexibility to perform various daily tasks and grow with the team.
- A proactive approach to health and safety it’s our #1 priority
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
