About the Role

As a Civil Grader Operator in our Construction Division, you’ll be part of a team performing a wide range of construction activities, including:

  • Operating a grader to shape, level, and maintain roads, shoulders, drainage ditches, and finishing road surfaces.
  • Performing routine road maintenance, including repairing potholes and controlling erosion.
  • Area-wide pavement treatments and overlays, including final trim work.
  • Subdivision pavement work to high-quality standards.
  • Ensuring high-quality infrastructure projects are delivered to plan using your expert operator skills.

What You’ll Bring

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • NZ residency or NZ citizenship.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience operating graders in the civil and road construction industry.
  • Ability to work independently with a keen eye for detail.
  • Class 2 full licence and WTR endorsements.
  • Previous experience with GPS – Total Station enabled equipment would be advantageous.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to achieve strict deadlines.
  • Proven experience in supervising and leading crews.
  • Ability to communicate clear expectations to your team and suppliers.
  • Commitment to workplace safety, quality, punctuality, reliability, respect for others, and working as part of an efficient team.
