We’re seeking 7 Grave Shift Maintenance Facilities Painters who take pride in their work and bring skill, care, and consistency to every project. In this role, you’ll perform maintenance and repairs across all areas of the property, completing all phases of painting and wall covering while helping preserve the beauty and integrity of our world-class resort. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us.
About the Role
This is a Union position based in Las Vegas, Nevada, with a starting rate of $40.27 per hour. You will work under minimal supervision, taking responsibility for routine to complex painting tasks throughout the property. Your work will directly contribute to the high standards that Bellagio is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine to complex maintenance and repair work on painted and papered surfaces throughout the property, completing all assignments as directed by Dispatch or Management and maintaining required logbooks.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including patching, taping, texturing, and acoustic work; paint surfaces, install wall coverings, and adjust paint colors as needed.
- Safely operate hand and power tools, including conventional and/or airless spray equipment, to complete work in a timely manner.
- Work under minimal supervision to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain constant awareness of cleanliness, safety, accident prevention, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Keep informed and updated on current technical methods.
- Advise the Shift Supervisor of any unusual conditions within the property.
- Understand the layout of the property, hotel rooms, and equipment.
Qualifications
We are looking for a skilled and reliable individual who meets the following criteria:
Required:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Three (3) years of prior relevant experience, preferably in the hospitality industry or a similar environment.
- Proficient in all phases of painting and wall covering, including preparation, application, and finishing techniques.
- Must be able to work various shifts, including weekends and all holidays.
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- General knowledge of mathematical skills.
- Knowledgeable of all paints and wall coverings.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Basic knowledge of computer software (Outlook, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and office equipment.
- Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance.
Preferred:
- Technical school or completed apprenticeship in a similar trade.
Physical and Work Environment
This role involves working in a dynamic resort environment. Physical requirements may include standing for extended periods, bending, climbing, lifting, and working with various tools and materials. The work environment can involve exposure to dust, fumes, and working at heights, requiring constant adherence to safety protocols and use of PPE. The role requires working shifts, including weekends and holidays.
