Key Responsibilities
- Operate laundry machines including washers, dryers, and specialty cleaning equipment efficiently and safely.
- Sort linens and clothing according to color, fabric type, and cleaning requirements.
- Perform cleaning tasks including stain removal, folding, pressing, and packaging of laundry items.
- Maintain cleanliness of laundry areas and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
- Follow safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment operation.
- Assist with dry cleaning processes for delicate or specialty garments when needed.
- Keep accurate records of laundry loads processed and supplies used.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone with a positive attitude and a commitment to quality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in laundry services or hotel housekeeping is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of laundry procedures including washing, drying, folding, and stain removal techniques.
- Ability to operate commercial laundry equipment safely and effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality and cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy loads when necessary.
- Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
- A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
Position Details
- Job Types: Full-time, Seasonal (7-month contract)
- Pay: $17.20 – $25.09 per hour
- Expected Hours: 30 – 50 hours per week
- Work Location: On the road (resort setting)
